All I Wanna Do by a long, long way. Decades ahead of its time and absolutely perfect. I could get carried away with adjectives that praise the song, though I'd be here for a while...

"This Whole World."  The other two songs are great, too, though.

My favorite track from the album (by a wide margin) is "It's About Time".  I think Eric and I are the only ones around here who really like it.  With it and the others long gone, my vote goes to:

Forever

You, Eric and me. I think It's About Time is bloody great! How anyone cannot like a song with a riff like that or with such a terrific vocal by Carl is a mystery...

It's funny, I was reading through the comments and votes and thinking about which song to vote for (it's a toss up), and I wanted to mention that It's About Time is my favorite track off of sunflower. I was very glad to see it appear twice on Made In California! Before that, it hadn't been on any compilations that I know of, except a promo compilation in 1970 or 1971. I would LOVE to hear this live one day! At an Adam Marsland show, he was taking requests, and without hesitation I requested It's About Time. Unfortunately the band hadn't played that before. I was bummed that it was voted off of here so soon.

So my vote...for more than two decades as a fan, I would never have questioned which of the 3 I liked the best...it would always have been Forever. But  This whole world has grown on me. I used to not understand why everyone made a big deal about it. I'm finally getting it. Although Forever sounds a lot better live than  This Whole World.

My vote is This Whole World, by a very slight margin.

Forever

I sang this song to my wife at our wedding, and then we danced to the original.
Fun fact: I first heard this song on "Full House" when John Stamos sang it at his character's wedding.  Separately, I loved the Beach Boys' hits.  It wasn't until years later when I ventured deeper into the BB catalog that I realized who "Forever" was originally by...boy, was I surprised! Smiley

Hey don't exclude me! It's About Time is a masterpiece and is easily the best song off Sunflower IMHO. It's a damn disgrace that it went so early, it may be the Beach Boy's all-time best rocker, better than even the likes of All I Want To Do and YNAMOHTSA.

And it's also a damn disgrace that Forever isn't getting as much votes as hoped for!

My all time favorite BB song, in fact my all time favorite song by anybody.  Played on piano during my wedding ceremony 40 years ago (gasp!) this month!

This is a very tough one for me.  I really love This Whole World.. so much magic happens in under 2 minutes.

However, Forever is SO pretty.  Especially the acapella version on Hawthorne.  The harmonizing bit at the end with Brian and Mike always gets me.

So anyway.. Forever gets my vote.

I don't think Mike is on the song. I believe I read somewhere that it's the Wilsons only on the vocals.

Have you heard the acapella version?  I'd be shocked if that wasn't Mike on the bass parts.

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

Very tough to choose between All I Wanna Do and This Whole World. All I Wanna Do may be Mike's finest hour but Brian's This Whole World just pips it.
