Following the hype of Brian`s new studio album to be released I was wondering if there are any chances of him doing a world tour and I`d like to know more opinions!

Well, I`m saying this because there were producers from other countries trying to get the 50th Anniversary Concerts, so maybe there`s still a chance to see Brian, no?   Roll Eyes

He has kinda neglected you guys in South America, hasn't he? Only one show in 2004 during the BWPS tour and he didn't even play the album then. But it's all down to whether or not South American promoters want him...

Well, The Beach Boys had a show scheduled in Chile right after the 50th Anniversary Tour (maybe a good sign?)

Yeah, Mike and Bruce have gone down there every so often. I guess Brian's a tougher sell down there.

Brian doesn't tour that much. He's never done more than around 40 shows or so each year, so that limits how many markets he can play. However, if he's willing to cross the international dateline and play Australia, which he has, I'm not sure why he wouldn't be willing to play South America. It's much easier to travel with less of a time zone shift.

I'm praying he pops over to The UK or Ireland.

It's been just over a year since I've seen something BB's related live and I'm getting restless

Depends on how he feels. I think he's warming up to playing solo again, but his back still seems to be giving him trouble. If that can be handled somehow, I expect he'll head to the UK next year.

The C50 show I saw in Hong Kong was packed! Lots of "Brian we love you!" being shouted. I heard similar things about their Singapore show. A world tour stopping in the right places would do well!
Or he'll pull a Lou Reed and only tour in Czechoslovakia  Huh

Yeah, I know, it's problematic. I would so much love to see the current double bill/common finale hit Europe after the U.S. tour... with Blondie, Al, David.

I too am suffering from ADHD-like symptoms, modified à la Wilson. It will be included in DSM-VI, by the way, as: Infirmitas inquieta sine litore pueris .

Maybe Mike and Bruce will pop over? Who knows, maybe they'll play a deep cut like Cotton Fields.

Suggest you recheck your facts - he's done over 40 shows a year five times. Twice he's done over 70 (like... last year ?).

However, if he's willing to cross the international dateline and play Australia, which he has, I'm not sure why he wouldn't be willing to play South America. It's much easier to travel with less of a time zone shift.

Nothing to do with time zones, a lot to do with the market. Brian's very popular in Australia, sells well. I would imagine his drawing potential in South America is orders of magnitude smaller.

I'd be up for any BB-related shows next year.  Hopefully, both groups'll come.  Mike and Bruce haven't done an indoor 'deep cut' show here since 2008.

Rumour has Brian yielded to receiving a significantly decreased payment in order to play in Brazil, back in 2004. It was in a fashionably small revenue and apparently a bunch of famous brazilian musicians attended the concert.

Mike and Bruce have played here in 2009. Both stocks are due a comeback already!
