What would you consider to be the worst song of all-time?

Worst song ever? Can't include any rap as it doesn't qualify (must have melody over chord progression vs. talking sh*t over electronic drums and 3-note keyboard parts).

Just about everything on that Rhino Worst Records Ever set qualifies.

Okay, here are some hit songs I don't like:

1) Any song that starts with the word "Disco" ("Disco Duck", etc.) with the exception of Zappa's "Disco Boy"

2) "Seasons In The Sun"

3) "Knock Three Times"

4) "Let There Be Rock" by ACDC

5) Whatever the name of that Kid Rock / Sheryll Crow song is with the out-of-sync drum part that gets played on the radio a lot (something about "I got your picture..." if anybody knows the name of it)

Hell, what am I thinking about. Anything written or co-written by Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley. They have written some of the stupidest sh*t ever but is sometimes still a guilty pleasure of mine.

It's impossible to name only 1 song, so...:

1/ Psy - "Gangnam Style" (ridiculous how it set the record as the most viewed on Youtube);
6/ The Ronettes' "Be My Baby" (vastly overrated, what people find great about this drag is a mystery);

I totally agree with Psy's Gangnam Style. It's songs like that and the massive popularity of it with my generation makes me very ashamed of my generation.
It was only popular because of that stupid dance. At least he's starting to get forgotten. Most of my friends even liked that crappy song. I was certainly a minority back then (and probably even now).

As for Be My Baby, HOW COULD YOU?! lol. How can anyone claim that this is one of the worst songs of all-time, let alone overrated. Sure, it isn't the greatest song of all time, but it's a work of art. It's genius! Another favourite of mine.
Hopefully someday you'll come around and realize how great that record is

Even if Be My Baby isn't the best song ever (who ever claimed that, anyway, other than Brian)

I did! Even before I knew about Brian's obsession with it. And many other people, I expect.

It's since been displaced as my absolute favourite song, but it's still up there contending. ("Do I Love You" also by the Ronettes is one of the very, very  few records I like better.)

My least favourite song might be Ging Gang Goolie by Baden-Powell.

OMG that's important to me for one reason: It disgusted me so much that a girl younger than me would be perfectly happy to do total crap like that, that because of that I promised myself NEVER to listen to the latest hit or the latest song by the latest artist. From then on, it was only the classics for me
