http://albumsthatneverwere.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-beach-boys-landlocked.html

Here is my reconstruction of Landlocked.  No surprises really, it's pretty much the tracklist that has come to be associated with the title "Landlocked" (please spare me, it's discussed in the second paragraph).  So I think most of you guys here have heard it before, but here's some things of interest:
- my own remasters of Loop De Loop (original version), Carnival, Big Sur (original version), Good Time and When Girls Get Together.  In my opinion, I think I did a better job than Dumb Angel; they did a good job clearing out the "mud" of the mix, but their remasters sounded lifeless.  I tried to revamp that by adding some low end and some highs.  To my ears, they sound crisp and full of life!  They are also sourced from true lossless, not lossy-sourced remasters.
- the 2009 remix of Fallin In Love has been re-edited to follow the structure of the original 1970 version.
- Best sources of stuff used.

OK there you go.  Not sure what else to say, except enjoy!

soniclovenoize this mix is amazing man. I'm friggin thankful there are fans like you who take the time do put albums together like this. Your mixes of 'Good Time' and 'Big Sur' are mindblowing!

Great job man. Only complaint are that the drop outs in Big Sur, Loop de Loop and When Girls Get Together are still there. Great sound quality though. Carnival in particular sounds as clean as ever.

Another first-rate job. It's almost like getting a new BB album for Christmas. Keep 'em comin'!

Wow, thanks guys for the compliments, I really appreciate it.  Smiley

Zippyshare is legit.  Just be sure to type in the captcha in the upper-right hand corner and click DOWNLOAD NOW.  Don't click anything else, ignore pop ups.

Ah yes, good observation.  I left those in because I thought they added to the charm of the recordings, and personally those few drop-outs never detracted me, personally, from enjoying the songs.  It might be though that I am bias towards analog recordings in this modern age and welcome tape imperfections...

They are a tough fix though.  I'd have to patch them in from another equivalent part of the song, and off the top of my head, it might not be able to come out smoothly.  I know Dumb Angel was able to sample a different part of Life is for The Living to cover the drop out in the beginning, but I didn't quite like the sound of it and so I left the drop out in, you know?

Got some weird panning stuff going on with "Big Sur" that wasn't on the original Landlocked boot. And it's good that you used the original "Fallin' In Love" from the boot instead of the released version. True to form.

If there was ONE song that I thought shoulda been on the MIC box, it was Big Sur 4/4. Kinda unbelievable that it wasn't.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Yeah seriously it's sooooo much better than the Holland version. I honestly find the track, like most of the Holland album, very bland.

As in, a waste of two minutes waiting for the download to finish. I wish I could have listened to it sooner!  LOL
