Stephen, you're quite right. It was thoughtless. I have removed the comment and would appreciate it if you edited the quote out of your post.

Why the hell is Peter Noone opening for Mike & Bruce!?

To increase attendance at Michael's concert, of course.  Grin

Hey Little Tomboy is creepy. Banging women by the pool is fun and conjures up warm summer thoughts a Beach Boys song should.

He paid more attention to my 15 year old daughter at the time who went with me.

Obviously I wasn't there to judge, but reading this made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Sad

I'm not sure why. I was standing right there. It was very innocent and cute. Did it sound weird to you? Should I have worded it differently? Sorry the visual of an adult man and a teenage girl talking to one another about music in front of a line of about 25 people made you uncomfortable. Hope it didn't sound weird to others reading it either.

Wow. I sure as hell won't mention my family members again. Pervs.....

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

You know, it goes something like this: "A man needs a woman like a woman needs a man, when the two get together... uh,uh,uh,uh,uh,uh".

Gary Lewis' records were beautifully produced by Snuff Garrett (I recommend the Complete Liberty Singles Collection) and featured the same Wrecking Crew folks we know and love and the sounds and style that we're familiar with (especially Leon Russell and Tommy Tedseco, who played that impossible for the band to reproduce Spanish riff on Sure Gonna Miss Her). Gary Lewis and The Playboys Golden Greats lp as good a roster of AM hits as any singles band of the 60's. Lewis had a perfectly bland, sometimes slightly nasal voice (could sing just like his father, as he parodied on Time Stands Still), but his voice thickened when double-tracked, and his timbre fit right into those harpsichord and chime textures. Unfortunately, Lewis' voice has not aged well, whereas Peter Noone can still carry his jaunty music hall tunes quite well, and with verve...

Speaking of FLo and Eddie, I just finished Howard's very entertaining autobiography, Shell Shocked. Recommended!

Peter is really a nice guy. I've played with him in the past.

Peter really loves the Beach Boys, and went crazy for a SMiLE tape I made for him. He and Bruce know each other from being neighbors, so I'm happy they'll be doing something together.

Hey Mikie, I thought your story was nice, so never mind all that other nonsense!  Smiley

Peter Noone kicks ass. He's a great guy, is in great shape, and puts on a really good show. He's a great selection for opening act.

Peter has aged incredibly well - no baseball caps for this guy! - and his voice has only gotten stronger with age. He's got a great band, too - a couple of them used to play with Gary Lewis. The one time I saw Lewis in concert, 9 years ago, his band really made the show. Gary doesn't have a great voice, but the band replicated those great arrangements on the old hits perfectly.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

The Beach Boys should be honored to have such a great talent as their opening act.

And so should you, you ingrates.

That's a great idea!  Peter Noone's voice has aged very well - much better I'd say than Mike "Michael" Love's has!  Mike's voice is so thin these days, he's gotta push everything he's got into getting a song out. Listening to the 50th CD today and it's sad - you can barely hear "Michael" singing the words. He's done.
