(Light Album) sessions version. My guess is maybe they used the vocals from Mike's solo version and combined those with the Brian produced group track.

How many versions do we already have? I think original 45rpm and LP versions for starters. Was another version included on a comp some years back?

There's the LP version, the single version from 1981, mono and stereo promos, and the 1976 early version that was accidentally released on the Ten Years of Harmony CD.

I read somewhere that the song was a total of 7 minutes, the last 3 of which are noodling.
Looks like we're not getting the noodling..  or it fades out early.

Meh, many "grand" compositions in the Beach Boys catalog clock in at around only 2-3 minutes long. There's a lot you can do in 2:32, so hay, we'll see. A lot of people who've heard it have made a big deal about it, so we'll see why soon enough.
