The hardware stuff isn't hard to learn, trust me. Spend a week or two reading up on whatever organ you get, find some sites, etc.

If you're performing live piano and don't have your own, you're really throwing yourself on the mercy of the venue. Which more often than not will involve a digital keyboard. Which, more often than not, will sound like processed ass.

On the exceedingly rare occasions I have performed live, I used guitar tbh - if you make mistakes on a piano, they are way more noticeable! Also, ease. Lugging a piano around might be a bit strong.

Seconding the Cactus, the internet is an incredible resource. You also have here, of course. But I'm sure you can find out how to fix a few dead keys on a Wurlitzer easily!
