500 bucks for a Billy Hinsche pick? If you asked him for one, he'd probably
give
it to ya. He's probably got a few in his closet or storage boxes. Billy played keys most of the time anyway.
Wonder how much an original Carl Wilson "Clem" pick would go for these days.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

It's a Clem "Howdy" Wilson pick:
http://www.ebay.it/itm/AUTHENTIC-BEACH-BOYS-CARL-CLEM-HOWDY-WILSON-GUITAR-PICK-RARE-/181211156173
There's a "Slick" Wilson pick available too:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEACH-BOYS-1970s-Carl-Wilson-Guitar-Pick-/380830795169
And a Cookie Wilson pick as well. Must be a variation as mine has "Cookie" in inverted commas.

Yeah, the Clem Howdy Wilson pick! And that's authentic! I'd like to have one of those. 120 bucks is kinda steep though. I think I've also seen a white/ivory one that just says "Clem" too but I could be mistaken. From 1975 to 1979 Carl used a tortoise-colored guitar pick with The Beach Boys logo in white on one side and "Slick" Wilson in white on the reverse side. The 1980s picks were red with the same design but had the "Beach Boys" on one side and their names printed on the other side rather than embossed. There's a picture of Carl Wilson's Rickenbacker and a few guitar picks on one of Billy Hinsche's DVD's.

What would a pair of Dennis' sticks be worth nowadays?
Hopefully my pair of 50th Anniversary sticks have the potential to one day save me from bankruptcy

The answer I hate to give but which might apply to many items...They're worth whatever someone is willing to pay!
If there is no previous record of an item having been sold for a specific price, a valuation is just a guess on what someone thinks someone will pay.
Dennis's sticks, in particular, should any such item ever come up...they'd need to be authenticated, documented, and possibly have a photograph of him playing them in order to have an honest and fair sale, along with a fair value offered. Did Dennis use generic model sticks that anyone could buy in bulk at the time they're supposed to have been used by him? Were they actually played and used on stage during a show, or did they come from a roadie's backstage supply of equipment, because they'd cart around boxes of sticks, picks, cables, etc on tour and the band would not have contact with these items if they weren't on stage.
Did Dennis use signature or custom sticks on stage when he was playing shows? If so that's easy to ID and validate which were his, if no one else used that model. If they were sticks any music store sold, you'd need strong backup and validation.
It's a minefield, basically, that area of rock and roll collecting. So many crooks ruin it for people looking to own a piece of history.

In all seriousness, if you do have a Cookie Wilson guitar pick, I would pay very well for it. This is about the only Carl Wilson pick that I don't have. Please message me if there is any way I could talk you into selling it.

They really are ridiculous. Look at what Rockaway's asking for the "Slick" pick. But that's Rockaway and nuthin's cheap there.
And just because you have a Carl Wilson pick doesn't mean he actually used it at one time. MANY were made up for the guitar players, especially Carl & Al.

I've got a tortoise shell Clem Howdy Wilson pick from Glasgow 1991, I got it at the end of the show and it was used. I've also got a used Carl Wilson tortoise pick from Manchester 1993, and a Glen Campbell used from a few years later. They are all prized possessions.

Can anyone shed light on the thought process as to why this seller would think this autographed minor league baseball is an item especially valuable?

While at the same time, I can certainly see how a GV raft would be desired! ( Crowd ride the raft chasing a beach ball, anyone? )

I have the Sunkist Beach Ball and trunks. And the record of course....didn't know there was a Sunkist raft too.
John Fogerty is selling autographed 'Centerfield' baseballs for 100 bucks. Tried to get one before Christmas but they sold out fast.

So, you want to start a bidding war for the raft? ( I've never seen one previously either)
Fogerty, At least wrote a baseball song! ( What has Al done? )
Saw this report on Fogerty's appearance last in 2010 at the Baseball Hall Of Fame:

It always amazes me when people get low quality baseballs signed. They pretty much never hold the signature for very long. The signature usualy ends faded or bleeding very badly. And that price for an Al Ardine signed baseball is crazy! Seriously, I bought an Official Major League Baseball signed by 4 Beach Boys (including Carl Wilson) for less than this.

I had a few picks before the fire. I placed a clem "howdy" Wilson pick at some time inside brad's surf's up book. the book was toast but the pick survived. don't ask why I stored it in the book for I don't know. but doing so saved the pick.
