I had the wildest dream about Pink Moon (as in Nick Drake) the other night but that's for another thread!

Right now I'm listening to an excellently programmed oldie...um 'early music' station (some of you hate the "...but goodies" term,  I'm trying to be respectful)

Here's the link:

http://www.guld.nu/

If you can't find the launch-the-player link from this Swedish broadcaster, it can also be accessed from any fine online radio locator like vtuner.com by searching for 'Radio Guld'

It's an all-anglophone (so far) mix of the familiar and the definitely not, tunes like Airplane Song from the Royal Guardsmen and b-sides by John Fred's Playboy Band. Right now it's Neil Diamond doing Girl, you'll be a woman soon (never noticed there was what sounds like a Moody Blues mellotron in the backing...)

The Pink Floyd - Piper - "Matilda Mother"

great song. The best on that album.

I have Pacific Ocean Blue on - I am trying to like it, I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

Martin Carthy - Prince Heathen and Dominion of the Sword. Astonishing stuff (particularly as most of the latter was written during the English Civil War....)
