It wasn't the censorship decision that I wasn't sure about. I just can't find it in me to like Kanye. I just can't.

I like a lot of hip-hop. I'm not really a HUGE fan of Kanye, I'm very casual, I think he's prone to running his fucking mouth too much.

I like some hip hop, too, but not Kanye. Most of what I like is from the earlier 90s, or older stuff from the 80s sometimes. And pretty much anything Prince Paul has a part in.

I prefer the old school and the pop rappers and some of the alt-rap.....very little of the underground rap and even less of the jazz-rap. Comedy rap tunes are always a hoot. As far as commercial rap goes, I like most of it up to Tupac, then everyone seemingly ripped off Tupac, so it all began sounding the same. Of course we all know Tupac was a VERY rare breed, someone who influenced his influences.

I'm with you on all this.

"Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell" by Iggy & the Stooges. Dedicated to a very special girl upon whom I wish every last vitriolic sentiment of this poisonous little number.

That's the spirit, Monkey.

I love the story in the Raw Power notes about Iggy wanting to do that tune at the VH1 Fashion Awards, singing directly to the models on the runway.

God bless Iggy. I love where his head is at on "Raw Power." Ditto Neil Young on "Zuma," the other disc I've been playing (and playing along with) incessantly of late.
