Our Prayer was in. Night closed with second encore - Summer's Gone.
Folks sat in front of us talked through Our Prayer, heroes and then some. They seemed to be with the band - accents, handbags etc.
Incredible night though - nothing could spool it.

I won't believe it until there's a video.
Here we go. Sorry for terrible footage, I had the worst seats imaginable, couldn't see Bruce and only Al's hair. Still amazing though.

One of the best bits of Summer's Gone was at the beginning. Al leaned against Brian's piano, to watch him sing to. Brian said "Al... Move!". He clearly needed to see Jeff. Sweet moment.

Nice to hear John. So much for all the Mike Love "firing" Brian drama ruining the UK shows.

It's not technical perfection, but it's so achingly beautiful in that setting that it's breathtaking. Thank you for getting that footage.

Haha missed that bit John!
Didn't have a very good view of Brian from my seat, but was it just me, or was he not using a teleprompter? I suspect he was, but it didn't look like it was in the mock piano like it normally is? Anyone who went know?
Seemed like Brian wanted to play Summer's Gone. Maybe reading into it too much but probably a small hint in doing it.

Before we get carried away with the "Summer's Gone" hint...I would put it up that Brian trusts UK audiences to appreciate the song in the proper context. It's one of the most powerful songs on the new album, I think Brian enjoys it for its emotional weight and wanted to perform something special for this audience.

YES , just goes to prove what all of the BB's think of the UK fans THE BEST BY FAR !
We are so so lucky , I think Wembley (possibly the last ever BB's gig) is going to be at least very emotional and special

The other thing about Summer's Gone - and I think it comes across in the YouTube clip (many thanks for that!) is that Brians voice was coming from another place. He was more alive and having fun, and throwing himself into these performances - and enjoying himself tremendously - than I have ever seen him in the 32 years I've been seeing him. Musta helped that Mrs BW was in Row 5 smiling and waving.
Wouldn't surprise me at all now if the reported antagonism in the band is a put-on… no acrimony evident at all.
Even Mike seemed to go through a realisation that their music is something bigger than he might have appreciated before - this was an ecstatic reception (only the clowns sat in front of us acted disrespectfully to the music but I'm guessing they didn't pay for their tickets).
All's voice was a joy - his numbers really rocked and brought the place down.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

Wouldn't be surprised if you were near Mike's family, Ambha, Emily and Colin Love.
They come across are extremely arrogant and conceited. "Driving my dad's bentley" etc

The Brianista Prayer
Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.

Just came back. on mobile. will be brief.
heavily recorded, one big camera on stage, two under the stage, small fixed cameras pointed at eaxh person on stage.
61 songs: Our Prayer, Summer's Gone, Little Girl I Once Knew, Still Cruisin, Pet Sounds, Add Some Music, etc.
Best BB-related show I have ever seen, beside Smile premiere.
Brian in best voice and spirit ever.
Surf's Up is not happening tomorrow either.
Ask me anything.

Don't know who the folks were sat in front of us but they did themselves the disservice with their behaviour, is all. Guessing they were with the band cos they had a set list which they kept referring to.
Like I said though nothing could spoil Tonight. Sheer magic.
This was not the same band that played the Later… show in the week!

Easy, I'm not a Mike hater by any stretch of the imagination.
I just know they were at the gig and they were tweeting how they weren't exactly sober due to the "open bar" backstage. Pretty classy
