For those who where there - did Mike challenge the Stones to also play a gig of 60 songs (including "Jumpin' Jack Flash" & "I Get Around")?

Lowbacca: That's funny!!! - a tip of the hat to you for thinking that one up!!!

This morning the Jurassic Rock station that I listen to sometimes mentioned that last night's show was the last for the original Beach Boys and said that Mike Love 'fired' Brian, Al, and Dave. People called up on their radio hotline saying it was disgraceful what Mike did. One caller mentioned that Al lives in Big Sur, not far away from the Bay Area.

So in tribute to the band, they played "Cameltoe", to the tune of Kokomo.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Hands down the most impressive set list ever associated with this band.
It's so impressive that it looks like an uber fan made it, something that other people would laugh at and be like, "they're not gonna do anything like THAT"! And then they go and do it.
We need video of this whole thing.

Amazing set list.

They were totally right to just unload every song they had in their arsenal....and why not?  I'm sure the crowd ate it up.

Kudos to Mike aka "Mr. Positivity" for allowing the show to end on a slightly somber note with "Summer's Gone."  It really works perfectly, I wish they had done it when I saw them.

Yes...kudos to Mike indeed.

I think it's especially great that he put "Our Prayer" and "Heroes and Villians" together...the way it should be.  Even though they didn't do "Gee"...it's a logical pairing.

They should have put it in the middle of the car medley.

Ha, too right it should be on DVD, although it would have to be double disc! It was a very good crowd, and pretty much full, only the odd spare seats.

Wonder what Wembley will be like tonight!

Does anyone else wish they'd been able to attend this instead of the reunion gig in your area? That setlist completely SLAYS the Florida show I saw, hot damn! If they release a DVD, it should definitely just be this show.

Not really.

RAH got a great list but I wouldn't necessarily trade it for any of the shows I went to.  I mean, it's not like flying over to London was a possibility anyway.  So, I am quite at peace that I wasn't able to attend.  But as you say, it'd be nice if we got this show on DVD so we could all enjoy it too.

I know what you mean but i wouldn't trade "my" show. The concert was fantastic and it was cool to meet all the other guys before and afer the show. A really, really great evening was had by all (I guess)

Yes, I do. While I enjoyed the concert I attended (Bethlehem, PA), this one appears to be special, maybe even having some historical value.

I would trade my show (60 minutes quickly shot through in Provo on July 4th) for any of your shows.  LOL

Wouldn't trade the shows I saw at the Hollywood Bowl or New Orleans Jazz Fest...both iconic events...and the show I saw at Irvine was better than either of them...so no.
