Damn, Seltaeb, that's amazing! I'll try to get a vocal done later? I have a few ideas for backing vocals, so we might have to have a pow-wow on an arrangement?
I'll also mix mine more competently to match
Billy, I could knock something up?

Here's Stevie with my lead and a couple of nascent bv ideas - I'll get you guys to replace them, but thought I'd get them down for now (the fact my voice gave up the ghost after the lead takes be damned).

Do we like? Shall I fire the raw files over?

I'd wanted to do 'This Whole World', but for some reason now I'm in the mood for mid to late 70s Brian....

Sounds good! Maybe we could do some "dit dit dit"'s behind the chorus.
(p.s - I know we are so far behind and this isn't on the original "tracklist", but I had a cool idea - "My Diane" with a Pet Sounds-styled backing track. And a less gravely vocal than the original. Yay, nay?)

Gonna isolate them bits in a sec, FOTM. Will drop you a PM

I don't have the wicked musical skills you guys do to make a track!
Add it to the evergrowing list, I suppose

Nice!!! I like the BG vox idea. Curious to see what FOTM does with it. I could probably add my .02. The lead has a nice Dennis feel going on.
Hypehat can you send me the isolated lead vocals with the track as a time reference?
EDIT - just checked my PMs. will keep u posted!

I'd love to pitch in on this! Awesome idea.
Instruments: Tenor Sax, Ukulele, Bass, Keys
Vocals: I'm in the mid/bass range of Mike and Dennis and can do a falsetto
Let me know!

Great! It's in the key of G. Maybe some root notes in the chorus? Or you could just ad lib a few takes and I could pull from those. Whatever you're feeling.

Sure! I'll try both methods and see what I can give you with that. I'm digging the cover so far!

Is it too obvious? I actually aimed to make it pretty transparent. But maybe a few lines could be more natural.

It's not obvious at all, I just notice such things. One of my pet peeves about double tracked vocals is that I like them centered, or at least not split up, because you kinda lose the intention of meshing the two tracks together to create a fuller vocal sound - but the way that you did it was really tasteful and served to make a better mix all around.
