Does anyone know if the out-of-sync first verse vocals on "Take A Load Off Your Feet" has been corrected on the remaster of Surf's Up?

I will never tire of saying that the Baldwin belongs in H&V, it’s the best thing in the song.
Noticed some new harmonies in Fall Breaks that i had never heard before, which sound really great.
The HGS backing vocals in She’s Going Bald sound amazing in stereo.
Wonderful is the definite highlight for me, followed by Whistle In. I wish Whistle In had been developed into a full Wild Honey song.
Good stuff overall, but i think Smiley Smile is the quintessential mono album. If there ever was an album that should be in mono...

I kinda agree. I love the details popping out in the stereo version (and some of the songs do benefit from it), but I guess I got used to the mono version - that lo-fi, eerie production really works well in mono.

If you think the mono version is superior, your perfect for Smiley Smile, crazy, weird, and lo-fi.

I've got news for you: a stereo mix doesn't suddenly make a "lo-fi" recording "hi-fi."

A stereo mix doesn't make it 'normal', mind

Not surprised though....

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

Actually most Europeans
have
heard it (at the very least have the possibility), so those bragging rights are already taken away from you.
But come on, people should be able to wait five days, and then buy the album.

I'll be buying (crazy thought, I know) all the remasters on Tuesday when they come out in Canada. Who has the cheapest price out there so far? I have them all preordered on Amazon.ca but the lowest preorder price is $15.49 CAN each. I'd love to support smaller indies (I do a lot of my buying at local indie store already) but I am cheap and poor but I need to have all of these in my collection as the ridiculous completist in me demands it. US amazon seems a touch cheaper but the longer wait and increased shipping cost still make amazon.ca the best bet. Any other cheaper prices I am missing out on. Can't wait to hear and have these!

Best Buy online has the remasters for $9.99 and free shipping. Do charge state sales tax though. I just ordered all 11 remasters!

They had to stop somewhere. Issuing 12 catalog reissues and two greatest hits collections in the span of a month is pretty incredible. Give them some credit. If we're good, maybe we'll get more.

My thought is that since they did skip around some, including "Holland" and "Love You" wouldn't have been unwelcome.
Just sayin'.
That said, maybe the box set will have most of the best bits from those albums and "20/20", "Wild Honey", et al.
