They're going to have to add one eventually.

I vote for Johnny Carson and Ding Dang.

Honkin' Down The Highway would probably make the most sense in the context of the show.

Brian has played The Night Was So Young, so that would be no problem.

I'd prefer I'll Bet He's Nice complete with Mike's hoots of approval during the bridge... like the demo version.
When the song is over Mike can announce: "SH!T. That is a motherf*cker!"

It'd be pretty cool to see Bruce wail "WELL IT'S YOUUUUUUUUUUUU" as well. I reckon he'd nail that.

Honkin' would be the logical one since it's on Al's album down at the merch stand.

"Let Us Go On This Way" would probably sound amazing live with the vocal blend they have these days. "The Night Was So Young" is the best song on the album, so that would be amazing, even without Carl to do the chorus.

For my money, though, I'd want to see "Roller Skating Child" with Brian on bass doing that pelvic thrust thing he did back in the day.

Honkin' down the highway

The harmonies on "The nigt was so young" would be killer though. And also "I'll bet he's nice"

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

The Night Was So Young is the only song that has a chance of being added to the setlist, I'll Bet He's Nice would be too difficult to pull off.

Brian would do a killer version of "The Night Was So Young" - wish there was a realistic chance of them doing it but I won't hold my breath.

I thought Mike said that after Brian played "I'll Bet He's Nice". Could be wrong though (should listen to those demo's again)

Solar System. Brian and Al on lead. Would kick unbelievable amounts of ass.

If Brian goes solo again, he should do a Love You tour! The remaining concert should be arranged with lots of synth/moog heavy arrangements. I would include Sweet Mountain and Mt Vernon & Fairway!

Mona, I can just see Brian enjoying himself on that one. I've heard him do The Night was So Young and it was superb.

Actual Chance of Being Done (in order of possibility, keeping in mind Mike's in charge of this):
1) "Honkin' Down The Highway" - on Al's album, if Al wanted to give up "Cottonfields"
2) "Rollerskating Child" - could see Mike agreeing to do it if they cut a post '67 song (that's not Kokomo)
3) "Let Us Go On This Way" - could be cool to hear Brian singing this. Also, was co-written by Mike, so maybe.

Would be cool to hear live:

1) "The Night Was So Young" - they could kill this one!
2) "Ding Dang" - that would be a crazy song to stick randomly in the middle of the second half of the set
3) "Johnny Carson" - maybe they could change the lyrics to "Jimmy Fallon" if they ever go back on his show
4) "I'll Bet He's Nice" - would be cool to hear this around the "Pet Sounds" songs, done in that style.

I would shell out V.I.P. type money to see Brian perform one Love You song, "Roller Skating Child", but under the following conditions: He wear shorts, strap on the bass, and do his "hula hoop" dance!
