or even you're ex Smiley a song that you love to listen to because it has a special connection to that person you love..or maybe a song that you can't listen to because it reminds you of your ex or a time when you were hurt :/

Even though this is not your typical love song and is kind of strange this used to be me and my ex's song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJiQt7A4m7Q
Now this is the song that me & my girl both share (our future wedding song) which is perfect right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-E4FRtrD9aQ

i think its called "1000 Years" and it's by Christina Perri. Not usually my usual type of music. But the first girl who I seriously loved told me to listen to that song, the night she told me that she loved me too. Since then we've parted ways going to different colleges and all, but everytime i hear the song, i still sing along and think of her.  Sad

I believe I told this story before but my mother was the one who introduced me to the music of The Beach Boys.  Several years back she passed away.  A few months after her passing I celebrated my first birthday without her and my girlfriend at the time happened to gift me with a stack of cds she had purchased for me.  One of those discs was "Like A Brother" by Carl Wilson, Gerald Beckley and Robert Lamm.  That night playing the album for the first time, I probably experienced the most profound listening experience I've ever had (or likely ever will have) listening to music: "I Wish For You".

Call me sentimental but in my heart I'll always feel that the opportunity to hear that song on my birthday was my mother's final birthday gift to me.  It makes it a difficult song for me to listen to now because I get very emotional listening to it but will be forever grateful for the experience of hearing that song when I did.

Kokomo. Because I said I hated it to her when my 'ex' girlfriend and I were discussing the group and she said she liked it. She says that she thinks about me when she hears it now. Since I don't give toss about the song, I can only associate it with her. Kinda ironic right?

Calling women bitches doesn't make you look cool, newguy. smh, indeed.

As for me, am really feeling Heart Like A Wheel by Kate & Anna McGarrigle. *drinks more*

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

"You're My Favorite Waste of Time" reminds me of my crazy ex Caitlin.

She hated the Beatles. They were like ambrosia to me.

One day we were driving, and the Marshall Crenshaw song named above came on. She flew into a fury: "How dare you play them in my presence, when you know, etc. etc."

I said, "It's NOT the Beatles. It's Marshall Crenshaw."

"But...but...still, you should have KNOWN not to play...anything even..." Splutter, splutter.

We broke up within the hour. Life is too short to put up with behavior like that.

"Waste of Time", indeed!
