More notes from board member, Manchini:

Brian's got his white piano setup with built in prompter in the sheet stand, thought it was neat. The rest of the guys are stage left from him. 2 drum kits, crazy.

The show is already about seven songs in, they just played Surfer Girl. My friend, who is a casual Beach Boy fan, just told me that I'm going to have the time of my life when I go. He said the set list is fantastic so far from what they've played. Some very good signs.

From Manchini:

Ok here goes:

Do it again
Catch a wave
Don't back down
Surfin safari
Surfer girl
Little girl I once knew
Wendy
Then I kissed her
This whole world

(so far)

Brian sounding real cool on this whole world.

They all sound great, Mike sounding awesome. Al f*cked up during LGIOK and mike shot him a hilarious stare. That struck me as very funny. I'll try to keep going with updates, photos hard to get unfortunately

I'm just going to do some high pitched squealing noises in the background here ala the TAMI show if you don't mind.

Just a heads up to all that Manchini would be providing updates every so often throughout the show and not necesssarily after every single song...so don't expect too much after you refresh the page every 5 seconds!  Grin LOL

Thank you Manchini!

I honestly can't believe this is actually happening. I think my Jeff dislike has melted away. If he had anything at all to do with engineering this amazing feat, then God bless the man!  Grin

These updates are all amazing to read, huge thanks to Justin for relaying them!  Really digging some of the song choices I'm seeing too.

I can't help but be reminded of the BWPS premiere as we all gather to hear the latest news...the best kind of deja vu for sure.

The Brianista Prayer

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.
Amen.  ---hypehat

What I want to read here is that they did an Our Prayer intro into a full Heroes & Villains.

(Ok, and I'm greedy, have Al do Vega-tables!)

Really thinking about getting tickets to the north carolina show next week.

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

My pleasure, everybody...this ocassion really doesn't come around too often so it only makes sense that we all share in the opening night festivities.

But obviously, big thanks to Manchini for being generous enough to send the updates out.  I'm sure he's having a great time...it's been about half an hour since his last update  LOL  Let's hope the next ones comes soon...
