Post when for reasons beyond mortal comprehension you keep pressing 'play' again.
It Makes No Difference - The Band's The Last Waltz version, and the My Morning Jacket cover.
Also, the Last Waltz version of Don't Do It. KICKS ASS.
The first instrumental version of I Know I'm Not Wrong by Fleetwood Mac on the Tusk remaster

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

I can't stop listening to "I Don't Want You to Die" by the Flaming Lips with Christ Martin from Coldplay. Extremely sad but beautiful at the same time. Crushing.

Great songs. I always wonder why It Makes No Difference avoids being maudlin. It should be sappy but somehow isn't.
I mentioned earlier that I've been playing The Band non-stop lately. I had most of their albums but after Levon died, I got Cahoots (which means I'm now one album [the covers one] short of a complete set). This means that I'm hearing the studio version of When I Paint My Masterpiece for the first time so I've been playing that one a lot.

"As" by Stevie Wonder. I heard it on the radio Saturday. The lyrics read like a stalker's "love letter". In a good way, of course.

But seriously, somehow it is so perfect.
It did lead to this text exchange with a co-worker though.
Me: Do you have any good recipes with lime? I'm not sure where to put it.
Her: Up your ass. I hate you.

In my corner, The Sonics doing possibly the least Sonics song ever, 'Since I Fell For You' has been in heavy rotation for some reason.
Also, the first song on this NPR session from The Creole Choir of Cuba. Absolutely beautiful

Bought Nilsson Schmilisson a couple of weeks ago when I saw it sitting on the rack at a used record store, thanks in large part to how highly people on this board talk about it. I really dug it on first listen and now I start listening to it and as soon as Got Get Up ends I pick the needle up and put it right back at the beginning. I've been listening to it a lot over the last three afternoons.

Sure is!
Do you have any of Nilsson's other stuff because there are a few albums I would place ahead of Schmilsson for personal favourites.

I've been enjoying the whole thing, but that first song has really grabbed me for some reason. I haven't got anything else yet, it's been a few weeks since I've been record hunting. Any suggestions for what I should look for?

There's a lot of variety but my personal favourite is Harry and I also love Nilsson Sings Newman. After that, I really like Aerial Ballet and The Point.
