Songs you would like to hear Isaac Hayes turn into 15 minute epics

For example,
Walk On By
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iX_iJE226o
You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'
Part 1 (Ike's Mood)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_azDWWK3Ug
Part 2 (The song itself)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8tgR1wmLfM&feature=related
Something
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EHOy41nDXQ
and the all time champion, the 18 minute long By The Time I Get To Phoenix
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bbdJSW3pvM
So if you didn't get the picture, now you do. Seeing as he is sadly dead, I guess we can be anachronistic about it.
You Really Got A Hold On Me (can hear this in my head, er, 'taken down to Soulsville' as it were)
It's Not The End of The World by Super Furry Animals
Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) - can't believe this hasn't been turned into a slow jam by someone....
Or am I the only one who thinks about songs in this way?

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

Excellent topic.
Off the top of my head, I'm going to go with Massachusetts by The Bee Gees.
Not only a good example but also a good excuse to listen to the original again:

Oh, I thought of another one: I Wish it Would Rain by The Temptations:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-es4Q8AJaU
Also, isn't Don't Talk already a bit of a slow jam? Well, maybe not a jam. But it is slow.

This might be an obscure one, but I think Isaac could have turned Universal Mind by The Doors into an epic.

Fantastic choices! That Bee Gees one in particular.
Exactly my point, rockandroll, The Beach Boys never quite made it down to Soulsville. Don't Talk is a different sort of bedroom music, as it were.
Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake and One by Harry Nilsson would also be insane. I think a) if i ever start a tribute band, it would be an Isaac Hayes one and B) if I ever start a normal band, a covers album done entirely in this style would have to be done.

I thought of a really good one today, but because I haven't slept in nearly 36 hours I have forgotten it again.....

I was about to be all like 'nah' BUT THEN I DID!
I Only Have Eyes For You by The Flamingos
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63nlhoda2MY
Tell me this would not be off the chain. I don't know why he didn't do it, considering the somewhat uneven nature of something like Black Moses, but I can only imagine he did not want to mess with the greatest love song ever.

Even his excursion into lowbrow late-night animated comedy TV was great:

It's a shame he joined the Super Adventure Club before he passed.

Reviving this mother as I have been listening to him solidly for the last few days. Hot Buttered Soul is genius.
Can't believe he never did his own 'When Something Is Wrong With My Baby', by Sam & Dave, in this fashion.
Other choices,
I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
The entire Bacharach/David songbook - maybe Anyone Who Had A Heart?
And keeping it anachronistic, something off Channel Orange by Frank Ocean? Maybe Thinkin' About You or Pilot Jones.
Out of The Beach Boys canon, Getcha Back played by The Bar Kays at 45bpm would be something to behold.
Anyone heard Branded, his 1995 record? It's a strange return to making that epic, monologue driven, soul sound. Chintzy production at times (and a Sting tune, mercy) but he's on good form, the arrangements are nice and expansive, and he writes with David Porter on a couple of tunes.

We could/should do a thread like this about Normon Whitfield. The stuff he did with The Temptations was brilliant.
