I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I'm no "no Dennis = no Beach Boys"-guy, but slowly I'm getting the feeling - and maybe that is not appropriate - that they are doing too many of what Carl might've seen as the casino-crowd (=cheesy-surf, fun-in-the-sun) and not what would be the music-loving and caring people. Just a feeling from my side

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

I hope this will be broadcasted somewhere!
If you're a local, you might have a shot to watch it. Usually for the home opener, FSN Prime Ticket, the Dodgers local channel, does a one hour pre-game show, so it's (very?) possible that they'll cut into the performance. You'll probably definitely get to see the anthem.
As a huge Dodgers fan, this is great news. Definitely the only Brian Wilson I'll be cheering for at the stadium, this year.

Carl played for all the casino crowds anyway, though.

Here's another stadium event, but I'm suspicious of the story's legitimacy, given the date it was "announced."

He sure did, but that was not the point.
Don't know if these were posted before, but this comes just from facebook:
More tour dates added!
May 25 - Chula Vista, CA - Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre
May 28 - Santa Barbara, CA - Santa Barbara Bowl (we told you this one before it was official!)

OH MY GOD! I know no one else here probably cares about this, but I am seriously about to cry. My two favorite things: my university and my band. I will be praying between now and the July 1 drawing date that my alumni draw tickets are for the Cal game.
Brian's dotting the freakin' "i"? Are you kidding me? This is such a huge honor. I was there when Jack Nickolas did and it was so special, I can't even imagine this. The only non-band members/directors or University presidents to dot the "i" are Jack, Woody Hayes and Bob Hope. This is a BIG deal. Congrats Brian, you should be so proud!

That's cool, Amanda. I hope you get to see it in person.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this from the article:
"The pair directed Kaplan to the band's manager, Elliott Lott, in San Diego . Lott responded that though the rest of the group was slated for an AARP Magazine cover shoot on September 15,
Brian Wilson would instead be in a Nashville studio that weekend, finishing a week-long session with Jackson Browne and Jack Johnson.
Kaplan, who credits Wilson 's music for inspiring his childhood fascination with surfing, enlisted music aficionado Waters to seize the opportunity. After a quick pitch to Columbus-based NetJets, the charter operation agreed to contribute use of a Learjet and crew on game day to whisk Wilson from Nashville to Ohio State 's Don Scott Field and back, and the deal came together.
Gee, who is known to keep his KORG NC-500 digi-keyboard with an Electro-Harmonix linear power booster running through a Blackstar Club 50 amp in the university's board room, added, "Just in case Brian wants backup, I've already nailed the tempo and chord changes for
'Be True to Your School.'
"
I wonder if Brian is recording for Jackson Browne and Jack Johnson, or if they are recording for Brian.
Also, I don't know if they'd use "Be True To Your School", seeing as how the instrumental middle part quotes "On, Wisconsin"
I think "Back Home" might be a better fit.

Before Ohio State football games the marching band does Script Ohio, where they play Le Régiment de Sambre et Meuse and spell out "Ohio", then play Buckeye Battle Cry, the fight song. The drum major leads the band through the script and then leads the sousaphone player out to dot the i. They do this before every home and bowl game since 1936. The also do one Script Ohio on ice per year at a men's hockey game. For an honorary "i" dotter like Brian, he will walk along side the drum major through the formation, then out to dot the i, take a bow and have 105,000 Buckeye fans go crazy.

Any word anywhere on what is happening with the last US dates of the tour? July 13-15? None of these have gone on sale yet and some have disappeared from Ticketmaster.

She got it off a website with weird pictures of Mike Love.
This is true but fwiw it looks like this girl is droppin' it like it's hot for Mike and the discoloring appears to be just the way her jeans were dyed.

Well, I was thinking along those lines too, but wasn't going to say anything in case it was you!
Did you ever get tickets to the Tahoe show, Ivy? Or are you going to make it to one of the other California gigs?

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!
