Given it was written by Andy Paley, hardly surprising.  Grin

I remember this very well from the end credits of The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, thinking that it sounded very Beach Boys-like, and was reassured to see Paley's name come up as the writer !

As I recall, Ween, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, Pantera and Motörhead to name a few have played stuff for the show as well.

Nice to give the kids a musical education at the same time!

The Flaming Lips did this for the film, which is one of my favourite songs of theirs!

The speakers on my computer aren't working so here's (hopefully) another Beach Boys inspired Spongbob song. Maybe you've heard it?

Wow that's a damn good Beach Boys knockoff - there's even a little "All Summer Long" in the chorus with the xylophone.  It isn't news, obviously, but Andy is quite adept at mimicking Brian's style.
