I will bet you every penny I own that one day, this picture will be used in the artwork of a bootleg. It might not be tomorrow, or even a year from now, but it will happen eventually. I guarantee it.  Grin

1967: Capitol's Failed "Psychedelic" Cash-In.
Or how the Beach Boys' failed SMiLE crushed Capitol's effort to "Capitalize":

I called the number and it referred me to another 800 number, which turns out to be "live girls waiting to talk to you".
I'm disappointed I don't get the pendant.

Dammit I wish that were a real thing. Even if it were a fraud it'd be a neat thing to put on the workdesk. Perhaps i'll make one of my own.

Ear candy, keep up the great work, nice to have a laugh on here once in a while Smiley

There is a typo on the label (Paino), so I'll probably re-do it...probably with a picture of Brian, with a banner which says, "Dr. Wilson's Piano Sand"!

We should start a petition and send it to capitol or The Beach Boys to make smile high tops as part of the publicity campaign for the box set. Also get a clothing company to make clothing like what Brian wore during the smile era. I will love to get some horizontal striped t-shirts like Brian wore to go with the high tops. Smiley

The Smile high tops were from a picture that was posted on the old Smile Shoppe site about 10 years ago...someone actually made a pair and photographed them!

Yeah I too would pay for bottled sand (fake or not, doesn't matter... it just looks cool) and the smile trainers. Now I know how those idiots (who wished AVATAR was real) felt. Sad  LOL

LOL how true!

@earcandy, would it be too much trouble for you to upload a pic of the just the bottle label? If I get the spare time (and a small glass bottle) I'd love to make one as a desk toy.

Here ya go:

But you've gotta post a picture of the finished product?

I'm gonna re-do the label with a Bri picture, circa 66-67.  Like the old medicine/tonic bottles, labelled something like, "Dr. Wilson's incredible sandbox sand...great for inspiration!"

For absolute authenticity I hope the bottled sand retains a trace of the dogs' doings from when they got into the sandbox.
