Are there any quotes from Dennis or Carl? I don't see how there couldn't or wouldn't be.
Yep. But nothing you haven't seen before.

Sure, but (of course) nothing we've not read before. Everyone gets a full page, pic included. Mike has most to say and, I'll be honest, I was surprised it got included as is. Very frank. Never insulting, but not sugar-coated.

I thought Van Dyke wasn't in the book, but David is reading a quote from him right now in the video

Just to sum up, the booklet is stellar, the only small let-downs being no direct VDP input and Diane's recollections being entirely bland. The detail of Craig and Alan's sessionography will fry your mind, Peter's piece is exactly what you'd expect (i.e. excellent and insightful) as is Dom's, and there are images that will make you gasp.

I respect Mike a great deal for his contribution. It took no little courage to write it, and his position is utterly clear.
And AGD of course isn't mentioning his own thanks on the credits page ... along with this board's owner, and the owners of the previous incarnation ... and Susan! It's a little message board reunion down there.

When I think how excited I am, I can't imagine how some people here must feel. Must be hard not to get choked up at a time like this.

"See ? Told ya it sucked !"
Seriously, he's very honest about how he felt, but also hands out considerable praise for Brian's music. Brave piece.

The Vega-Tables single is different to the album version! Includes a part of the Demo as backing vocals!

Believe it. This is the most amazing day of my BB-related 'career' and yes, there are tears with the smiles.

Wow...I wonder if the b-side, Surf's Up is the album version or not.

“For me, making music has always been a very spiritual thing, and I think anybody who produces records has to feel that, at least a little bit. Producing a record . . . the idea of taking a song, envisioning the overall sound in my head and then bringing the arrangement to life in the studio . . . well, that gives me satisfaction like nothing else.”
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

I'm off to Saturn Köln which boasts itself to be the biggest CD store in Europe. Will post pics if there is a cool display.
BTW Got me box set 2 hours ago, and all I can say is "Oh My GOD!"

My girlfriend intercepted and then hid the package. Oh how she laughed as I tore the living room upside down!
Cannot describe just how excited I feel right now.

It's good to be British! Even if the box says on the back 'Printed In U.S.A and Assembled in Mexico'
