Isn't it odd.

The day we get the first SMiLE press release an earthquake happens In Japan, now we the the artwork and pre-orders Hurrican Irene is casuing havoc..

Imagine what happens the day of the release  Shocked
Wouldn't it be freaky if a bunch of fires broke out on the day of release?  Shocked

Regarding the vinyl set, it says "not available on CDs" but it doesn't specify if that means only the box or both the box and the 2 CD set. How realistic do you all think it is that there would be some stuff exclusive to the 2 vinyl set? f*** my life if so. Also, fires breaking out on November 1st would be...kind of awesome? But that would totally freak Brian out. But it should still happen.

Oh My God. Seriously this is amazing. I have been waiting so long for this and I just pre-ordered the 2CD set. Can't really afford the box, but I may pre-order the vinyl soon. AND THERE'S THE TRACKLIST!!! I am unbelievably excited. I'm guessing that songs 20-27 on the first CD will be the fourth side of the vinyl. So unbelievably excited. I cannot wait for a leak or single release, and then of course November 1st will the day to end all days. I might even take off work for this. i am so very excited.

That's a good question. The so-called "solo version" we know is Brian's piano version, but that's from November of '66. What is this elusive 1967 version?!?

BTW...Amazon needs to post a tracklist of the box set version! The 2-CD and vinyl sets alone are enough to send me reeling with excitement and f*ck knows how I'll react to the full box tracklist. These are great times for us, folks. I feel like I'm 16 all over again discovering this great music for the first time.

I'm thinking that the "Surf's Up: 1st Movement (11/4/66)" track is probably a session excerpt. There's been a piece of that session on boots for a while, but to hear it in perfect quality will be a revelation.

Honestly, at first i was like NOTHING NEW?!?!? then I realized, all the quality will be + 100,000,000 so ITS COMPLETELY WORTH IT!

Plus, like Mojo Wonderful, they might add stuff we've never heard...

It'll be nice to hear the "Prelude to Fade" session excerpts in pristine sound, too. The bootleg version has some interesting sounds in the alternate takes. I recall a really powerful sounding drum beat, but it didn't sound like a snare drum beat. Almost like someone banging on floorboards.

The "Barnshine" bit...if it's not on the main "album" part of the box set, I could definitely see it on the sessions discs. Problem is, unless a tape was found, it only exists as an acetate as far as I know. But still. Acetate is better than nada!

Pretty good that these four tracks take up one whole side of vinyl too.

9. Wonderful (Side Two)
10. Look (Song for Children) (Side Two)
11. Child Is Father of the Man (Side Two)
12. Surf's Up (Side Two)

What a side!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!
