Just over one year after everyone bought their Beatles albums again in stereo, mono, and limited edition plastic fruit, Apple(s) have put the Beatles up on iTunes. Does anyone care?

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.

I
care. It used to mean something when The Beatles were the one big act that wouldn't bow down to the digital age. They were the big champions of the physical cd era. These are dark days for the music industry.

Teenybopper? That must be a joke, because no modern teenyboppers care about The Beatles. They care about Lady Gaga and that crap. Besides, it's not "dark days." The only valid forms of music nowadays are LP and digital download; most people don't even play LPs. This leaves one modern (loosely used with LP in the mix) medium and so be it- digital. Whatever keeps The Beatles in people's minds, young and old: so be it. It must be done.

Teenyboppers who listen to the right bands know the Beatles. How many fans do you think the Beatles earned after Kurt Cobain sang their praises in the aftermath of Nevermind?

I don't get this? What in the hell is wrong with the digital age.... Speaking as a 19 year old with both a record player and an ipod.

I thank God for digital, otherwise I wouldn't have nearly the collection of Beach Boys music I have...it was a digital MP3 copy of 'Pet Sounds' that got me back into the Beach Boys. I could care less if something is digital, vinyl, CD (for the mostpart) as long as it gets more people to appreciate good music....Besides, in 10 years I'm sure they'll make another format for us to waste our money on that will blow our minds due to the quality.

Ever want to hear some Beach Boys songs mashed up together like The Beatles' 'LOVE' album? Check out my mix!

1. Even the most culturally vapid people I know know and love the Beatles. People who don't like the Beatles tend to be hipster types who like to dismiss worthwhile things.
2. If you're going to put down modern artists put down the ones who suck, like Ke$ha. Lady gaga is pretty cool. I thought it was all modern pop crap at first too, but The Fame Monster is a fantastic album. She writes her own songs, she controls her career, and she's an actual artist. Know what you speak of before you go blasting ill-informed opinions. Gaga is pretty cool, and her and Kanye are the only real artists you're likely to hear on the radio.

I hear real artists on the radio all the time...on the oldies, classic rock, college, and public radio stations. I'd be a little more willing to give Gaga a chance if she'd put out her demos as official records instead of turning them into generic Autotuned-to-hell top 40 dance songs.
