New Beach Boys compilation CD coming in May

But is it sure this is going to be a major release? Isn't it just one of those crappy ten song 'budget' releases?

It's a pukka Capitol release. I'm prepared to sit tight and see what transpires before dissing it. Like I said, given the recent track record, I'm expecting a stereo remix or two... but hell, I'll buy it anyway, for reasons two:

1 - I pay for it, I can rip it a new one with credibility and a clear conscience...

2 - I'm a fan - it's what I do. 

3 - You're a completeist - who owns both the US and UK versions of Summer In Paradise and is secretly sitting on (and enjoy listening to) over 11 hours worth of SIP outtakes.

"Summer Love Songs:Girls on The Beach" is the title of a new Capitol Beach Boys compilation CD due in May. No word on the contents, or if there is any rare or remixed material to get completists to buy it.

"Girls On The Beach" will be a previously unreleased alternate take featuring a ML lead vocal.... 

I've already heard the Love lead vocal on the Sea of Tunes "All Summer Long" boot...along with a few takes of Love singing "The gum in her hair...".
