one for the bat-eared...

in the closing bars of Surf's Up, the backing vocals do something odd.  it sounds like another set of chords is buried underneath the Fm - F11 - Bb - Cm7 section.

there's what sounds like a complete Eb chord over the Fm, something with a high D in it over the F11 (a Bb chord, perhaps?), and a major seventh (i.e. A natural) over the Bb chord.  (apologies for the technical talk.)

the latter, particularly, jars.  which leads me into speculation: does anyone know if the BBs intended to end this song differently, and there's a leftover chord sequence on the multi-track that's bleeding into the finished fade?  (equally, they might just have been messing about, of course.)
