This topic had been discused in another thread.
Here is what I posted that I would like to come out for the 50th:

http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,9742.msg169407.html#msg169407

And what about a De Luxe Box-Set In Concert 4CD + DVD + LP + 40 page booklet, something like the recent Live At Leeds by The Who.
CD 1: The original 1973 In Concert LP remastered.
CD 2: Hollywood Palladium 1973
CD 3: Chicago 1973
CD 4: Hartford 1973
DVD: 1972 Carnegie Hall film
LP: Original single LP proposed to WB.

My dream-come-true Box-Set!!

I'll take that box set! And throw in more New York and Jersey audio and all the Billy Hinsche tour video material on the DVD and that'll be a great set!

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

I'd love to hear "Mess Of Help" and "Wild Honey" though! Betcha it's Blondie singing Wild Honey as was the case in the YouTube video from 1972.  Mighta been Carl, but probably Blondie. Fix that sucker, Bgas!!

So that's three (well, two now Steve's is no more) we know exist! Wonder how many they made in total...

There are techniques to unwarp records, but as IIRC they involve your oven I can understand not wanting to do it with something so rare.....

See this isn't a record but is an acetate/test pressing; I'm fairly certain they have a metal base with a vinyl coating, which really complicates the whole unwarping thing. It definitely smells like an acetate.

I didn't see the pictures when I posted, so can I say...... WOW!

If it's an acetate, and now I think it most likely is, like a test pressing would be, that presents a problem. Not that we're encouraging you to bootleg anything, right SMiLE-Holland?  Wink

I'll pitch in some $$$ to get the ball rolling, if you're serious about getting it transferred.  Cool

No it hasn't but I would love for there to be a boot LP and CD. Or even better a legit one.

This one is high on my "to have heard"-list, but chances are low that that will happen, I'm afraid.

I know of 2 testpressing that exist(ed). One is supposed to be in possession of one Brad E., the other one was owned by a member of this board, but you don't want to know what happened to that record... Cry

The Heroes And villains performance of this single LP has officially been released. It can be found on the Endless Harmony soundtrack album. So tapes are still to be found somewhere in the faults

EDIT: Steve M. was quicker with his answer than I thought.  Smiley

Thinking a bit of what you posted, reminded me I should point out that BE doesn't have one of these

ah, then we're back to 2 copies (one melted, one warped)

I wouldn't even dare.

Just an observation: "Heros & Villians" is mis-spelled on this label in exactly the same way as it is on the spines of the SMile era tape boxes. Probably a coincidence... probably?

Yeah, Whomever wrote the titles sure needs to learn how to spell Villains.
The sound coming off the tapes in those boxes isn't all scratchy and poppy is it? That would probably have to be the case to extend the coincidence very far.

Apols, I missed a  link-through... Same way also as spelled on the mysterious handwritten list.
