Most albums work just fine for me any time of the day and any time of the year. But some work just a little bit better at the right time:

Christmas Album - well, yeah Smiley
Today - side A early in the evening, side B later in the evening
Pet Sounds - night
Friends - hot Summer evening
Holland - autumn
MIU - lazy Sunday afternoon

Going for midnight walks with Pet Sounds in the cans gave me a new perspective on things. So that answers Pet Sounds.

I did that once too. I can recommend it.

I do it almost weekly, but I do try and mix up the album selection a bit.

Pet Sounds is definitely a late night, lights out album.
Sunflower is a hot August afternoon by the pool album.  (Sitting in the shade with a Heff!)
SMiLE (in the form of your favorite stereo mix) is great in the headphones in the wee hours after a few shots (and whatever else "gets you there").
Wild Honey is best cranked up on the living room stereo in the early evening after dinner, hanging out with friends.
Little Deuce Coupe/All Summer Long twofer is perfect in the car for a commute or hour long trip to....wherever.
