So...I found out the annoying way that apparently it's forbidden to mention Carol Kaye on the bloo....
Over the years, I've found, then, that the following words will block your post from going through:
- dick (so forget about talking about Dick Reising, Dick Dale, Dick Clark, and Lord knows what would happen if you tried to mention Dick Van Dyke)
- bootleg
- kaye
- I'm guessing any of the "seven words"
Interestingly, my post about Lauri Klobas went untouched...

Oddly, Dick is now permitted... but not Kaye. Hopefully, one day the reason will emerge: it's got to be a corker.

I couldn't post the phrase "p-o-p m-e-l-o-d-y" earlier today. In fact a threatening phrase was automatically inserted instead. Why would a Beach Boys site be so anti-melody? I mean, harmonies are nice...but melody is king. Try it without the hyphens and see what happens...

I remember when I was just getting into the BB and I was on Bloo and I asked if anyone knew where I could find the SOT's? (I didn't know they were bootlegs and didn't know any better)...my first Brian reply said something along the lines of: "Hey man, I think that's a bootleg...we don't talk about that kind of stuff on here." -Brian
