Just thought i'd share this:  I just did a few shows with a band opening for the Meat Puppets.  At both sound checks (but not at the shows themselves), MP did "Sloop John B," complete with raspy harmonies.  They did a pretty fair job on it, too...

I play with other people besides the Standells...in this case, '80s SST art punkers Trotsky Icepick.
