I'm kind of new here, I've been lurking for a while reading the posts, but I joined out of interest over the thread about the tapes.  Anyway..

The track "We're Together Again" this one confuses me a little.

First of all, what's the deal with the version on the 2-fer, it cuts off pretty much half of the song, was there some reason to this ?, I know lyrically it doesn't really progress but there is that nice string bit which is worth listening too.

Another thing is, when did they re-cut it ?, I've .. been told... that there's another version out there with a different backing track and backing vocals, but with no lead vocal, this track has a different feel, with slide guitar and what sounds like a either a Marimba or a Xylophone.

Thanks to anyone who can make me a little less confused on this one.

Don't quite follow - wasn't aware the 'released' version was cut, apart from the fact the fade is quite short. The acapella goes on for a little while longer. That could be anything from that's how they found a mix (or similar) to the fact it was getting to be a 25+ track cd and they were running out of space.

And welcome aboard!   Smiley

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Syncopate it? In front of all these people?!

Thanks, and my mistake, it's only about 30 seconds shorter, but the 2-fer version does lack the strings
