All this stuff is mp3 sourced: Get The Boot, The Garage Tapes, All This Is That.

Damn shame.

All This is That and Garage Tapes are not mp3 sourced, at least not on the original CD's - if you've downloaded them from somewhere, they may be mp3sourced.

Some people have analyzed the audio spectrum of these tracks and concluded that they were mp3 sourced indeed, even on the original CDs.

Hello all and thanks for the welcome!
I am truly sorry if I broke the rule, but I am finding it difficult to see where the line is drawn regarding the subject of what a "boot" is. Can it be freely talked about when it is in mp3 form? I didn't mean to cross the line, just wanted to share the music. It is great to hear unreleased or whatever music by the BB/BW, since we all have such a great interest in it. We all know they are out there, and most of us have some of it, but I don't understand why we can't discuss it. But, I WILL play by the rules. I just wanted to know where GTB started, the Garage Tapes as well. If there is such a demand for it I don't get why we can't share it.

Thanks,
Donna

Hey there Phil, hope all is well!!!

"I've Got A Friend" is from the Radio Luxembourg-broadcast; the concert was held (and broadcasted) on May 10th 1972. From what I know the weather that day/evening in Europe was terrible in most countries, causing the broadcast to be received badly on many places. Which explains that the recordings that surfaced later on were of average quality. (+ that tape-copies tend to deteriorate a bit after a 20/30+ years...).

LONG LOST SURF SONGS VOLUME 4 has a less muddled recording of this song compared to the one that is on GET THE BOOT.

Have any of the songs on Get The Boot been bootlegged NOT as mp3's?

There's the one disc "convention" version of 'Get The Boot', and if I remember correctly a few of the tracks there ISN'T mp3 sourced. I'll have to re-check this, though.
