Hi everybody

Just wondering if any kind soul can shed some light my way?
I bought the red 'The Beach Boys SMiLE' Odeon ST-9002 years ago on holiday in Spain as my first ever SMiLE purchase
The sound on it is great, with alot in stereo. (You probably know there's 30 tracks on it in all, 76mins long).

I've looked in the search engine but not had much look really.
I was wondering if any one had any info on it such as when this first came out, If any is also used in TSS, where/how it fits in with TSS, if all the tracks on it have already been used elsewhere/other boots/official release or are unique to this disk, that kind of thing really?

If you could shine any light on where this fits in in the SMiLE story/puzzle that i'd be great!

Thanks for your help

Is it the second edition or first?
I got a second edition in NYC last year, it sounds fantastic.

I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and she's already working on my brain. I only looked in her eyes, but I picked up something I just can't explain. I, I bet I know what she’s like, and I can feel how right she’d be for me. It’s weird how she comes in so strong, and I wonder what she’s picking up from me. I hope it’s good, good, good, good vibrations, yeah!!

The red is the first edition isn't it?  And is there any difference between the two besides the cover?  I believe the tracklist is identical on both of them.

Aha thanks for that, sounds like I've got a first edition then woohoo!
its all red and just has 'SMiLE The Beach Boys New Improved Full Dimensional Stereo' on it's cover - and yes it does indeed sound top notch quality!!

Does anyone know anything about the tracks compared to TSS, or about the Boot itself? Are the tracks used on here unique to this CD?

The version of CIFOTM includes some takes not on TSS,
Also I think the H&V includes some verse snippets not on the box.

I think everything on the Odeon boot had appeared on previous boots or official releases.  Wasn't the verison of H&V (suite?) a fan mix?   Can't remember anything on it being new at that time.
