After reading through Jon Stebbin's book Dennis Wilson: The Real Beach Boy, I took out my video of Good Vibrations from Central Park and found a shot of Dennis with his hand wrapped in plaster. I cobbled this photo together using several frame grabs and to the best of my knowledge it is the only record of his hand injury shortly after the incident:

Good picture - however I do believe there is one of him with the cast on that has been published. May have even been in Mojo...

EDIT - Yep, Mojo 2002 Dennis article. Page 66, I'll try and scan it in for you...

They certainly didn't consider age when casting...  Film is supposed to begin when Dennis was 32, and looked to be in his twenties.  Eckhart is almost 45 already, six years older than Dennis was when he died...
