Since the song and video received such a favorable response here, I thought you might like this. I'd like to announce the Really Really Weird Remix Contest. In the very near future, I will be making the raw tracks for The Simple Carnival's song "Really Really Weird" available for download. If you're a creative remixing kind of person, you can take these original tracks, manipulate them, and turn them into something that sounds nothing like the original song. A panel of judges and I will rank the submissions. The grand prize is one of the instruments that was used in the song, a circuit-bent Casio SK-1 sampler (considered by many to be the holy grail of weird-sounding circuit-bent instruments), plus a Simple Carnival t-shirt and a copy of the album where the song comes from, Girls Aliens Food. There are three runner-up prizes (consisting of the t-shirt and CD) as well. Even if you don't win, there's a possibility that your remix might end up on a future Simple Carnival release. You can read all the details here: http://songsandsonics.com/2008/08/05/really-really-weird-remix-contest/Thanks for reading this far, and hope to hear your remixes soon!
