Well, I couldn't find much either. The album, Burnham Would, is a collection of songs written by Jeremiah, but with multiple different lead vocalists. The songs, 'A Place in California' and 'California Baby' sound exactly like Jeff.

Another cover. Another using the "Lonely in the night I feel" during the fade.  Its not just me. I think it is a great, simple lyric that describes Brian perfectly at this time in his life....or most times in his life.

When I listen to the original, I hear Carl singing two different parts that collide right after the word "feel". At the chorus at the 1:30 mark, Carl does a wordless harmony, instead of the Lonely phrase. The chorus in the fade is different. I hear Carl saying Loneky in the night I feel, followed by a continuation of other lyrics or wordlesd harmony that is in the earlier chorus...with others harmonizing over it.

I was just watching the movie The Sandlot 2 with my son. A song came on in the middle of the movie that had a very distinctive voice. Such a beautiful sound and skill. Many commentors think its the Beach Boys - a compliment to Jeff's talent.

Whatever hatred shown towards Mike by the industry and fans, he largely brought it upon himself, by HIS actions.

Brian, above all, has every right to protest this absurd concert specifically because Mike CHOSE to link the Beach Boys name and legacy to it.  Brian's camp realizes that backing out of the concert (not likely at this point) would be a loss of revenue for he and Melinda as well, yet he still calls for the protest. He has a stake in the game. None of us do. So stop saying Brian is wrong or a bully for sticking up for what he believes is best for the band and catalog he is largely responsible for.

I think he just has friends in power and likes to maintain those friendships.

Of this I can agree completely. It's all about some sick, twisted, narcissistic prioritization of slobbing on the knobs of powerful people. That's more important to Mike, than say, maintaining a stance on not killing animals and caring for the Earth that he took on so many songs, and has preached for decades. Now even Dennis' solo album is tainted too.

And dragging the brand down with it. And playing songs that his cousin wrote that his cousin doesn't want him playing. A true phony whose priorities are disgustingly out of whack. Find me a bigger phony in the music industry. I double dare anyone.

If Mike has these friendships with powerful people, then play the show as Mike Love. The Beach Boys as a whole don't have those friendships (with the Trumps), but the other members are being taken along for the horrible ride. Mike is acting selfish here. No other way to put it.

Mike (and Bruce) are hypocrites. What a sham. How dare they use the Beach Boys name to promote their own beliefs and greed without the consensus from the group...which apparently doesn't exist. Yeah, I will buy the box set or other future releases of the band because they were products made and performed by the original "band", but I will no longer support the Mike and Bruce touring farce and will encourage others not to as well.  Thank you Brian for speaking out about this cruel "sport". Who the hell shoots a leopard or a lion or any animal they won't eat for subsistence and feels good about it?  This behavior coming from a guy who didn't like the lyrics to "Hang on to Your Ego".... I attended the Mt. Winery show lastnight in the SF Bay area. The crowd was very much into the classics, but rather motionless and with minimal applause for his (Love's) new solo work. I went with a group of casual fans all of which thought the new songs were pretty weak. I thought they were awful. All The Love in Paris being the best out of the three...but still meh.

How many damn songs will he write that includes his last name in the title? Does he think we all believe he's really clever? Does he not realize how lame that is? Again, a group of casual fans I was with (who supplied me with a free ticket) all leaned over and whispered to me...how lame. I can only imagine what Dennis would think.

"All the Love in Paris", "Unleash the Love", and on the way into the venue they were playing random Beach Boy and Mike Love songs, one of which seemed to have the title "Make Love Not War"....I wouldn't know as I wouldn't buy the album.

BTW, it seems very shady to plug your solo album and play three tracks at a show billed as the Beach Boys. Totten's and Cowsil's playing/singing were the highlights lastnight....
