"Citation needed." Wikipedia can be a good starting point for research or a summary on a topic; but I don't trust it completely in this particular instance, because I am inclined to believe Marilyn's account, but not Pamplin's. (Yes, I've read his book.)
But the way I heard the story many years ago, it was at least supposed to take place after Marilyn and Brian separated, if not legally divorced.

A touching interview with Al Jardine about Brian on BBC4's Today show: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0lht2ngIt runs about 5 minutes, and will only be up for a few days. Part of what Al said about Brian: He was very, very open, honest and friendly, and always supportive of his team -- meaning the early Beach Boys and his own band, the Brian Wilson Band, which I joined later in life. We became his second family.
So, it's been wonderful. And now I have the opportunity, with his blessing, to take the band out again this year and next year, and had hoped that Brian would still be with us, so that he could tour again. But we will keep the music alive in his name and the spirit alive.

I grew up in Memphis, so I remember some of this. Wink Martindale hosted Dance Party, a local take on American Bandstand in the '50s, but left for LA in the early '60s. He was also a deejay at WHBQ, the local Top 40 station which also had George Klein of Elvis' Memphis Mafia on the staff.

Hey, Funko -- how about a Pop! Bruce Johnston figure to go with the rest of the set, please?? Just because Bruce was only on the back cover of PS, he still deserves to be part of the set. At least release it as a standalone add-on figure.

Could have done without Kokomo over the credits too
"Kokomo" is linked with the film Cocktail, which was released by Disney's Buena Vista / Touchstone pictures. No way Disney's not going to include it in the doc. The credits are the perfect place. My question is what's the deal with ADITLOAT being played over the Paradise Cove footage?
