http://www.spincds.com/the-art-of-obscurity-cd-41299 Pet Sounds (High Fidelity Blu-ray audio) by The Beach Boys Details The classic 1966 album Pet Sounds will be issued on the Pure Audio blu-ray audio format in April 2015, over a year after the release was first touted. While the delay has been frustrating, the new blu-ray arguably ticks all the boxes because it includes three versions of the album: the 5.1 surround mix, a stereo mix and a mono version. All are in hi-res of course. The blu-ray edition is scheduled for release on 27/28th April 2015. Track listing: 1. Wouldn't It Be Nice 2. You Still Believe In Me 3. That's Not Me 4. Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) 5. I'm Waiting For The Day 6. Let's Go Away For Awhile 7. Sloop John B 8. God Only Knows 9. I Know There's An Answer 10. Here Today 11. That might be a go too. I don't think my Blu-ray 3-D player will play SACD's though. I'd love to have those Analogue stereo vinyl albums but I'd have to upgrade my system to fully appreciate them! Well, I'll save my pennies and I'll save my dimes! Alan, you got a player for the SACD? Is that the a Capella wall of Brian's thing to show the string players or is this a completely new thing?

Well, I'll save my pennies and I'll save my dimes! Alan, you got a player for the SACD? It cost me $150 (probs 100 of your Gringo $). I also have a Sony Bluie that plays SACD that cost similar. Peeps with more money than me have been known to spend $2k to $20k on SACD only players I pump the Pioneer through a seperate DAC, as the onboard DACs are one of the many items where costs were cut. If you have a Sony, Oppo or Pioneer Bluie player, look for the SACD logo amongst all the Dolby etc logos. If you see it, happy days! This one is 300 Gringo: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Home/Blu-ray-Disc/Elite-Blu-ray-Disc-Players/BDP-80FD (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Home/Blu-ray-Disc/Elite-Blu-ray-Disc-Players/BDP-80FD) In the meantime, the Analogue Production SACDs are hybrid, so they also have a red book (CD) layer which will play back on pretty much any Blu Ray player, DVD or CD player; and will showcase the KG mastering nicely. WIN/WIN! Just guessin', nothing to back this up, but I would probably get the A/P stereo vinyl (where they are Chuck mixes) sooner rather than later as they seem pretty popular and may sell out. Don't forget this album is already available in high-resolution on HDTracks. And didn't the 40th anniversary edition also come with a 24-bit DVD mastering? Anybody want to compare if these even sound different?
