To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Question has to be asked... why is all this stuff coming out into the open ?

Frankly, if the Oppenheim outtakes showed up on YouTube tonight, I don't think I'd be surprised.

BTW, I don't have the audio recording handy but I seem to remember Brian playing his then-brand new song "Rainbow Eyes" as well

That said, must check the Middlefield Vault for unexpected gaps in the film room.

Amazing the jam session been YouTubed - the tape itself in the full hour or so format has been out since at least 1996. This was in Ontario, right?

The Oppenheim film making a similar appearance... the phrase "a snowball's chance in hell" comes to mind.  Cheesy

Man, now that's the Brian Wilson I came to know & love, and even name my daughter Brianne in his honor back in '77.  Check out that laugh, right after, "Wait, was I on that record?", and the sense of humor when giving out the parts for "Loving Feeling"...  So glad he was able to overcome so much, and still be with us today.  If only Dennis...

This Brian seems indeed like a guy you'd have alot of fun with. Very funny guy. Wonder if he's still like that, because there were more bad things he had to go through since then

Speaking from personal experience, when Brian's in a situation he feels comfortable and relaxed in, he's just a joy to be around and still very, very funny.

Idea for the Reagan show tomorrow.

The Beach Boys, one piano and a case of Mumms.

See if that gets Brian interested! Grin
