I bought his first album on vinyl a couple of years ago, I like it a lot.

That documentary: the Devil and Daniel Johnston is one of the best music-documentaries I've ever seen.

I like some Daniel Johnston. Though i think if he weren't mentally ill, he wouldn't get 10% the credit he gets as a songwriter. Nothing like being crazy to pique people's attention and spur their imaginations. That's when they start tossing the word genius around.

I thought The Devil and Daniel Johnston was a good movie but it was sad/funny when his parents were like "We read Brian Wilson's (of The Beach Boys) autobiography so we could learn what not to do in raising and caring for our mentally ill son!" Also, I don't know if Johnston is quite better than Brian Wilson but I guess I'm a little biased, after all! He certainly has the same endearing Love You qualities though at times, that's for sure...
