Good call  - that'd be my best guess too, but you know me. Gotta be sure.

If it was the Pet Sounds Tour, then yes, it was the Mann Music Center. Also, around that time he played a show at the TLA (Theatre of Living Arts).

The Brianista Prayer

Oh Brian
Thou Art In Hawthorne,
Harmonied Be Thy name
Your Kingdom Come,
Your Steak Well Done,
On Stage As It Is In Studio,
Give Us This Day, Our Shortenin' Bread
And Forgive Us Our Bootlegs,
As We Also Have Forgiven Our Wife And Managers,
And Lead Us Not Into Kokomo,
But Deliver Us From Mike Love.
Amen.  ---hypehat

In 2002 the only gig Brian played in Philadelphia was at the Theater of Living Arts on South Street, a few minutes from Drexel University. I live about 30 minutes from there.

When Brian did the PS tour in 2000 he played the Mann in Philadelphia, yes. And in 2005 he played the Mann as well. The TLA was a good idea for a venue. I wasn't there personally (had to work) but I did wonder if the management put seats down, because the theater normally has no seats.

Ah, many thanks for that - I did find a review with that as the venue, but the wording made it look like that was where he played on the 2000 Pet Sounds jaunt.

The Pet Sounds Tour was definitely at The Mann (I attended that show). I missed the TLA show too.

Not that I doubt anyone here, but I double-checked in the Philadelphia Weekly archives. Again, thanks.

If I remember correctly, the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper did a review of the show in 2002, it was a good review overall. This show was also taped in the audience.

They probably reviewed the "show" also.  LOL  Must have been a Freudian slip with all of the snow we have been getting pounded with here on the East coast.

I hear THAT...over a foot in my neck of the woods.

And the staff in the Kremlin are snickering..."they think they can win a war against us? They can't even dig out of the fucking snow!"

You'd be wrong sir. I heard reports here that some of the people near the Russian embassy in DC had cars that were in fact, surrounded by snow  LOL
