I divided it into four general "ages" (Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age, and Modern Age), as well as the most commonly accepted "eras" in the band's history (Classic era, Band era, etc). Hope you like it.

-Golden Age is Surfin' Safari to Pet Sounds.
-Silver Age is Smiley Smile to Endless Summer.
-Bronze Age is Endless Summer to Carl Wilson's death.
-Modern Age is from then to now.

-Classic Era is Surfin' Safari to All Summer Long.
-Innovation Era is Today! to Summer Days (and Summer Nights).
-Genius Era is Pet Sounds to the cancellation of Smile.
-Band Era is Smiley Smile to Endless Summer.
-Love You Era is 15 Big Ones to Adult/Child's failure to get released.
-Mike Love Era is MIU Album to Dennis Wilson's death.
-Stamos Era is Dennis Wilson's death to Carl Wilson's death.
-Modern Era is where we are now.
