With the first boxed set being majority singles (with the Christmas album included), I really wonder why they didn't put together a second set with his 70s work....What would you include? Any WHOLE albums or just particular songs....I'd prolly select mine from Let It Be, All Things Must Pass, Plastic Ono Band, End of the Century, Death of a Ladies Man, and that fab single: Try Some Buy Some.

any other ideas come to mind?

Nothing from his album with Dion? I'd think that outshines the Leonard Cohen stuff...

It's great, if a bit plodding. It's called Born to be with You, from around '74. Of course its not in mono, but none of those listed are (right?). I think all but two of the tracks were recorded with Spector and the Crew. good luck!

I love 'Born To Be With You'.

I had no idea why they didn't put 'Proud Mary' by The Checkmates on the first set, when they did put on the slightly limp 'Love is all i have to give' instead.... Fogerty not playing fair?

I'd agree with your setlist, Punkinhead, except that Spector didn't produce the 'Rock And Roll' tracks you put on there, if the liner notes are to be believed. I'd also stick on a few rarities, like the Nilsson/Cher 45.

And how can you leave off 'Don't Go Home With Your Hard-On!'  Grin

I love 'Born To Be With You'.
There's a great cover version by Dave Edmunds.
