I have a few questions about 'Ding Dang'. Question One: When was the version on 'Love You' recorded? Question Two: Who is that speaking at the beginning just as the drums start playing along with the piano? Question Three: Is that Brian singing the verse before the song fades out? I know Mike sings the verses the first two times but for the third time it doesn't really sound like him.

I asked Roger McGuinn about "Ding Dang" years ago ,and he played it on his guitar ,only a shorter version ,and said thats it ,thats all we wrote.
What a great song writing session that was!

Does anyone know when that song (the version from 'Love You') was written and recorded? and does anybody know who the person is speaking near the beginning? its a really high voice and its just before the drums start playing.

I do believe Ding Dang, in it's first incarnation, was written with Roger in 1973.
