Never mind the 50th anniversary in 2011, how are the Beach Boys going to mark the fact that in 2012 it'll be 20 years since they released a band album of new material? Which effectively symbolises 20 years milking the jukebox. I love the Mike and Bruce and sometimes-David show but...

I'm content with no new studio albums from the Beach Boys Leftovers. Open up the vaults!!!!

I'd welcome a new Beach Boys album, even if it was just Mike and Bruce, but obviously the more original BBs, the better. I do, however, think most people here would dissagree with me, which is fine.

I'd welcome anything, because I'd want to hear it. I can't say I honestly would predict (if forced to predict) that a Mike-and-Bruce album would be something I'd really like, but you never know. It's not like those two don't have a lot of ability and proven quality behind them. Really, I don't know that any combination of the guys would produce any sort of masterwork anymore; anything they want to do is fine, and people can take it for what it is.

I would like to get a phone call from BRI, asking me to organize and oversee The Beach Boys' 50th Anniversary Reunion Concert CD and DVD. I would take a leave of absence from my job and work on the project for free. The first thing I would do is get Brian, Mike, Al, Bruce and David to agree to the project, promising to hire Martin Scorsese to produce the documentary concert, just like he did with The Last Waltz. I would have the guys reunite at Al's ranch, and tape all of the hugging/reuniting, reminiscing, telling of funny stories, rehearsing, and the final product which would be the concert. I would intersperse old film clips, do a feature on Dennis and Carl, and get new interviews from interesting guests, not the usual suspects. I would try to make it an emotional piece, both sentimental and fun. I think a project like this would attract a lot of media attention, and, if done right, would be a really nice timeless piece, much like some of the other great rock concert films.

I would--without question--hire Ricky Martin to do the lead-off tracks.

I already promised that to The Go-Go's.
Do you realize that Belinda Carlisle appeared in both The Beach Boys' 25th Anniversary Special and A Tribute To Brian Wilson. I don't know what that means but I thought it was interesting....

It is rumored that Tandyn Almer was seen at both occasions too.
