It's reported in one of the NYC newspapers this morning that the Virgin Megastore in Times Sq is set to close in 3 months. With Tower gone, all we'll have is Borders, Best Buy, Barnes and Noble types that carry select items only. This is lousy news. Esepcially for folks like me who like to browse in a store and not necessarily search an online site.

That is disappointing.

Here in Tucson Best Buy has dropped prices to 9.99 on a lot of single disc CDs, which is about the only good news in general CD Land that I've heard in a while.

Hard to sell CD's when people go to the public library, check out a dozen albums, take them home, and copy them covers, liner notes, and all.  For free.

Can't have the cake and eat it too.  Retail stores are having hard times these days.

I hope this doesn't happen with clothes.  I hate trying them on in stores.  Would be a double pain to have to get them online and find out they don't fit!
