Hello!

It's been a LONG time since I've posted here. I mainly lurk now but am back in a "Beach Boys" phase as they say in a big way Smiley

I don't have my massive Beach Boys collection cataloged at all and depend on my lousy memory to figure out what I may or may not have....like I said, it's been a while since I've been in a "Beach Boys phase" so I have a couple of questions about some items I'm not sure are available for collectors and some I may or may not have? Please send me a private message with assistance:

TV Show - 1/24/64 -ATN 7TV Studios SURF SOUND from Sydney, Austrailia. Mimed to "Surfer Girl" and "Little Deuce Coup"

TV Show - 3/12/64 -STEVE ALLEN SHOW Is the FULL show available on bootleg DVD or the audio on CD? I could swear all I have on the Vigotone "GoodBye Surfing, Hello God" box set is just one out of the two songs? The one is in superb quality. But I'm sure both aren't on bootlegs--or if they are--I need to know which disc(s) it's on and quality of that disc...also if the FULL show is on bootleg DVD?

Closed Circuit Broadcast - NGC - 3/14/64 - THE LOST CONCERT as it's known is available on DVD from the 2 inch master. The Beatles portion is available mainly from kinescope (Apple has the video master and on the "Anthology" DVD used the video source for 3 songs). But the other artist on the closed circuit broadcast was Leslie Gore and I have not seen this portion available. Does it circulate?

Acetate - 7/6/64 - "Little Honda" b/w "She Knows Me Too Well". "Little Honda" mono mix is supposed to have a more promenant organ. Is this on bootleg and what title?

Any info is greatly appreciated. A private message would be preferred!

Regards,
Cal aka "Beatle Bob"

Huh? I've been here since this board's inception(since the Smile Shop board kinda changed a few years ago). I haven't been that active in recent years here (maybe once or twice do I get around to posting and seriously reading many threads if at all), but I used to post about stuff like this. Has things changed? We always could talk about bootlegs, unreleased tracks and best sources etc....but never would we publicly ask where to find something on bootleg!.... if someone was looking for something to trade or aquire, the etiquite was always to ask for someone to PM so as to keep the board clear of any problems.....am I suddenly doing something wrong? I'm confused!  I also posted this on the old standby site, Cabinessence with some nice feedback.

I'm also on all the Beatles message boards and email lists and as long as you don't say where to find a bootleg title, it's always been safe there too as long as you keep it to Private Messages, I never have problems there.

Have things changed?

Nope, things haven't changed... but:

This is the typical kind of question that is just within the boundaries.
2) Talking about bootlegs is fine. Posting messages asking for bootlegs or offering bootlegs is not fine. That's what private messages and emails are for.

Which might explain that no-one responded yet (or simply no-one has it, or knows about it). Then again, you might've gotten a few PM's instead.

To answer your question: sorry, don't have nor know of any of these recordings, so I can't help you on that.

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings.

Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45.

Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

Found out the full Steve Allen show performances of "Fun Fun Fun" and "Surfin' USA" are available on a DVD entitled,
"Rock-N-Roll Legends Vol. 4".

But, does anyone know if the other items listed above, circulate at all?
