Hello, all...

Somebody commented earlier that "Good Kind of Love" is credited to Wilson by himself on the vinyl release.. well, I just perused the liner notes once again, and it seems that the TLOS lyrics to "Live Let Live" are NOT written by Scott Bennett (or at least according to the liners, they're not...)

In fact, Van Dyke Parks wrote both the global warming "are we the enemy, living a memory" and the TLOS "I've got a notion" lyrics. Pretty cool... I love both versions, and both do deal with global warming but the TLOS version does so more peripherally...

So there you go. I am writing a review of this wonderful album in case anybody cares - and the version of MAD on the album is incredible. I understand what everybody is saying about the vocal swell before "makes me feel so alone" not being so prominent - on the demo, it sounded like tortured voices from hell but in a beautiful way.. but who cares!? This is incredible and different!

Whatever, even if Van Dyke wrote the lyrics to the TLOS version, too, I still like the Arctic Tale lyrics better.

Well, I just checked with the man himself (he's quite easy to reach by e-mail and always very polite), and yep, he wrote 'em both. The lyrics were revised for the movie specifically -- which is pretty easy to tell.
