I was looking at Carl's wikipedia page, and it says that he was a student of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness. (see: here and here). Anyway, I kept looking around on the net and came across a few interesting things. At this link (www.sallykirkland.com/pages/ministry.html) it talks about Carl and then on this page (http://www.sallykirkland.com/pages/radio.html) it talks about how Jesus Garcia (an actor) sung Carl's songs on some radio show. But the most interesting thing I thought was this page (http://www.ndh.org/template.php3?ID=311).. it says Carl wrote "Where I Belong" for John-Roger, who is the founder of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness.

I have never heard anything about this before and I don't know if any of this is true, but would be interested if anyone knows anything more about it?

Why do all good songs have to be about weird hippy crap?

Every time you spell Smile as SMiLE, an angel's wings are forcibly torn off its body.
